The LennyMade Foundation exists to honor the life and legacy of John P. "Lenny" Leonard by bringing people together through events that inspire connection, raise awareness, and support grief resources. Our mission is to provide compassionate guidance and meaningful support to those navigating the journey of loss, while empowering organizations that foster healing and hope.
Through community-driven initiatives and meaningful partnerships, we create spaces where people can grieve openly, celebrate life, and find strength in togetherness.
The Heart Behind It All
Who Is John P. "Lenny" Leonard?
A husband, father, family man, teammate, and friend who embodied what it means to live with love and purpose. Lenny was funny, selfless, and endlessly supportive. He had a natural way of making people feel seen and valued through his humor, encouragement, and reliability.
A Standout Athlete
Lenny's passion began on the baseball fields of Hanover, where his talent earned him a spot as a starting pitcher at Boston College and in the Cape Cod Baseball League. He was later drafted by the Giants and Angels, and when his baseball career came to a close, that same competitive spark shined through on the golf course or during backyard BBQs, where he'd be playing cornhole and belting out the hits of the summer.
But Lenny's greatest strength was connection. He built relationships rooted in trust and authenticity, the same qualities that defined every part of his life.
Above all, Lenny's heart belonged to his family. He was a devoted husband and a proud dad whose greatest joys came from being with his kids—cheering them on and creating moments that will be cherished forever.
The LennyMade Foundation was created to honor that spirit and continue Lenny's legacy of kindness. Our mission is to lift those experiencing grief or hardship and to shine Lenny's positivity and big-hearted energy to our communities.
